Remembering Tesla's Death on January 7, 1943, in Hotel New Yorker, Manhattan, New York Nikola Tesla died in Hotel New Yorker in Manhattan, on January 7, 1943 at the age of 86, in Suite 3327 on the 33rd Floor. On July 10th 2001, the Tesla memorial plaque was unveiled in his honor on Hotel New Yorker by the Tesla Memorial Society of New York and Hotel New Yorker.
