Dr. Hani Shennib, cardiac surgeon, performed the first cardiac operation with the help of Tesla robot in New York City

Dr. Hani Shennib, a known cardiac surgeon performed the first cardiac bypass operation with the help of a robot in Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan, July 2000.  In the photo above, Dr. Hani Shennib (left) and Dr. Ljubo Vujovic (right) are holding Tesla posters describing Tesla's discovery of the first robot presented to the public in Madison Square Garden, New York City in 1898.  The first Tesla robot signifies the beginning of robotics which is today used in medicine, industry, military, science and space exploration.
