The Merchant of Power by John F. Wasik

Nikola Tesla is featured in "The Merchant of Power", the author found some previously unpublished letters between Tesla and the subject of the book, Sam Insull.  It was Insull who championed Tesla's AC system in Chicago after he left Edison's employment.  Edison was dead set against Tesla's AC technology and Insull had a hand in pushing Edison to finally accept the reality that AC was the way of the future.

As a utilities baron, Tesla and Insull remained friends until the end of Insull's life in 1938.  When Insull's empire had collapsed in the 1930's, it was Tesla who wanted to get him back into business, although it was too late for Insull at that point.

Tesla enthusiasts would enjoy reading Merchant of Power.
