Nikola Tesla died on January 7th, 1943 at Hotel New Yorker. The conference is designed to include benefactors, sponsors and willing contributors supporting the Tesla Science Foundation’s vision, programs and projects committed to promoting the message - “Why Tesla Matters”. The recipients of the "Tesla Spirit Award" and participants of the Tesla Memorial Conference would like to thank the "Tesla Science Foundation" and it's President, Nikola Lonchar, for organizing the event. Participants of the Tesla Memorial Conference would like to thank Marina Schwabic for concept and organization of this important event. Jane Alcorn, President of the Tesla Science Museum on Long Island, NY is the recipient of Tesla Spirit Award. Alcorn has petitioned to create a Tesla Museum on the site of Tesla's Laboratory in Wardenclyffe. Her tireless work has kept the memory of Nikola Tesla alive. Dr. Ljubomir Vujovic, President, Tesla Memorial Society of NY is this year’s recipient of Tesla Spirit Award for his lifetime achievement in promoting Tesla'a life and legacy worldwide. The event program will include a number of prominent speakers, dignitaries, artists and distinguished individuals who have been designated to receive this year’s Tesla Spirit Awards.
